About NAGABA Association
Founded on 19th August 2024, NAGABA Women Youth and Needy Association is a community-based organisation established by rural people in Kagango, Ntungamo District, Uganda.
Our founding members recognised their societal needs and the inadequacy of individual efforts. By organising collectively, they resolved to further their social and economic cause, earn a stronger position in society, and promote their livelihoods — with a special focus on women and children affected by HIV/AIDS.
Our Mission
To create well-meaning life situations for rural women and youth through HIV/AIDS awareness, treatment and care, advancing women's rights, and empowering them through skills training and income-generating projects.
Our Vision
A community where every woman, youth, and vulnerable person has the skills, knowledge, and opportunities to lead a dignified, self-sufficient life free from the burden of HIV/AIDS.
Our Values
Community Health
We raise HIV/AIDS awareness within our communities, providing education, support, and care for those infected and affected.
Women's Rights
We advocate for the rights of women and children, championing equality and protection within our communities.
Self-Reliance
We empower members through skills in crafts, tailoring, knitting, business planning, and financial management.
Livelihoods
We create income-generating opportunities through bee keeping, fish farming, piggery, poultry, goat rearing, and cash crops.
Collective Action
We bring together a collective force to influence district planning and ensure social sectors focus on women and youth.
Environmental Protection
We are committed to protecting the environment and promoting sustainable agricultural practices in our communities.
